Sundar Pichai is an Indian-American business, spokesperson, and motivator, who was born in Madurai India. He is the current CEO of Google (2015 – present) and its parent holding company named Alphabet. Talking about his career, he joined Google in 2004, as a product manager.

2004 – Joined Google as a product manager for google toolbar, a strategic product that allowed queries from different web browsers to go through google and analyze the searching behavior to power the AdWord Engine.
2005 – Launched Google Maps, one of the most important applications that you also must be having installed on your device. It has more than 1 billion active users worldwide. While the mapping technology was developed by 2 Danish Brothers, google acquired it in 2004. And wait, it is not over yet, the google then acquired Keyhole a geospatial data visualization company which is known as Google Earth, and also a company named ZipDash which provided real-time traffic analysis. And all these companies were merged to form Google Maps core technologies and the Successful launch of Google Map.
2008 – Reinvention of Wheel (Google Chrome) When chrome was shut down to its high cost and tough market competition. Reinvented chrome to work better with the competition, and developed Chrome OS, to support Chromebooks which was then launched in 2012.
In the same year, Sundar Pichai was promoted to Vice President of Google. And this was just starting of taking new challenges and taking google to new heights.
2010 – Announcement of open source Video Codec VP8. Which eventually became the most preferred coded and browsers like Mozilla and Opera supported VP8-coded videos in HTML5.
2012 – Took over Google apps which include Google Maps, google+, android, chrome, advertisements, and other google apps.
2013 – Headed the Android one project in which he increased the android user base from 230 million to more than 2 billion. And as of now, the daily active users of android stand at more than 3Billion.
2014 – Declined the CEO position offer at Microsoft, and Twitter. In Microsoft fulfilled it by offering Satya Nadella.
2015 – Became the CEO of Google as Larry Page Stepped up to be the CEO of google’s parent company (also known as a holding company named Alphabet).
2016 – Awarded Google conglomerate Alphabet’s shares worth $199 Million. Approximately tripled the revenues.
2017 – Launched Tez in India with Indian UPI Wave, which is now known as Google Pay (Gpay) with over 30 Million transactions in only 2 months post-launch.
2019 – Became the second CEO of Alphabet Inc. After Sergey Brin and Larry page together wrote that google and Alphabet do not need separate CEOs. Also, he is the highest-paid CEO in the IT industry.
2022 – Received the third highest civilian award Padma Bhushan from the Indian Government.
