Are sources more important than a currency? What does this even mean? Isn’t this too confusing? So, yes, I know this is a bit or a lot confusing but if I may clarify that it is not that confusing if you go through this article. Sources and Currency are the two main keywords that it is all based upon. For this article i have curated a detailed explanation on sources and currency as well have explained with the examples.

So, without any further due, let us start with our topic of the day Why are sources more important than currency, we will be first taking some background information on these to understand them fully.

what is meant by sources

What is meant by Sources?

What sources mean here are daily life basic needs. Sources include Food, Shelter, and Clothes. And, we have been hearing this from our elder generation for years that for living a life you will need three necessities of life.

What is meant by currency?

Currency is a piece of paper or an alloy metal that has value as it is backed by the government and as people trust the government, the coins/ money have value. Currency is mainly used to trade, exchange or buy items in national as well as international markets.

Are sources more important than a currency?

While Sources (which include food, shelter, and Clothes) can only be bought using currency. Once I heard that money can’t buy everything, I said that’s not possible, it cannot be and it won’t be.

If you are trying to contradict me, deep down you also know that money can buy you almost everything, And currency is the only source where with which every other source can be bought.

Many think that currency is not everything, a person dying in a hospital cannot be saved with money. But, he/ she can die with a satisfying life, he can be free from pain while without money it would be a lot harder to die peacefully. Though I still think sources are more important than currency because Sources are the necessities that lead everyone to the currency.

To validate my point, of currency not being more important than sources, we will have to go a little back in time when we had an exchange system which was also known as Barter System.

A Barter System was the traditional system of making trades. Unlike the modern currency system wherein you can go to a shop demand an item and buy that item for a particular price. But in the barter system, it was not like that. Because there were no currencies or modes of payment, you didn’t have central money which everyone could accept.

Instead, there was an exchange system if you wanted to buy a cow and you had wheat then, you would trade your wheat for the cow. Similarly, if you wanted Rice, you could exchange them with what you have and what the other person needed.

So, the Barter system is an example, of goods to goods selling, So, it is like everyone is using their sources (i.e in our example, Rice, Wheat, cow) as a form of currency though they are not. So, here we can conclude that Sources are more important than money.

Source like Food is the essential building block of a human’s survival life and without that neither the person will be able to money nor it would be of any use. Next comes Clothes, earlier they didn’t matter a lot, but today they do. In fact, in today’s world, the status and character of a person are judged by their clothes and dressing sense.

Coming onto the last and another factor of sources Shelter (House), Well there is not much to say about the house, it is the getaway place for everyone. To be free from all the tensions, hassle, and difficulties they are facing in their professional life.

Now, as we know that Food, Clothes, and shelter are more important than currency, there is another factor that says that sources are more important. This could be obvious but it should be stated, that is – sources are a kind of natural resources that can be bought from shops but eventually they are provided by the mother earth where there is no barter or currency exchange system.

Conclusion –

So, as we have reached the end of our article, I hope you have got my points which I have tried to explain in the above sections. And, these are some of the points that I have gathered there a ton of these. But, rather than going too deep, I would like to know your views, What do you think of sources more important than currency. Do you agree or not. That is for this article and I will meet you in another one, till then keep making money for sources!
